BFG's any good on the mark

hey just thinking about getting a set of 275-40-18 BFG KWD 2's for the back of my Mark, just wondering if anyone here has had a set of these and what they think of them.
 
BFG KDWs are good tires... not sure about thread life with these and there are cheaper alternatives out there...
 
yeah i know, i used to run comp t/a's and then they done away with them, i been running kumho's since then and after i've done blew the 2nd one out i want to go back to something i never hand any problems with
 
What kumhos did you have probs with? A lot of Vette guys are running Kumho tires in your exact same size (275/40/18s) Haven't heard of any problems either.


I bought some Sumitomo HTR Z II for $109 a pop for the rear... they stick very nicely... are not too loud either... but the treadwear rating is only 220... but I don't think I'll keep the car for another 20k miles so hence the purchase.
 
I run kdw 2s, 255/40/17s all around on my mark. I like them, grab a lot better than stock, tho still can get them to spin. Really cool tread pattern lol. Can't say anything about wear as I've only had them on a couple months. Road noise isn't that bad either, at least to me. Though a buddy of mine said he thought a plane was above us once while riding with me, it was the tires.
 
I have them all around and think they are terrific tires and with letting a little air out of them they hook pretty decent, and I should know. I also have a set of drag radials from BFG and they do an outstanding job at lowered pressures. I used these until earlier this year when I changed over to 18" wheels all around. I have no road noise issues with either of the tires.
 
Thanks guys but I let good since get in my way of having a killer looking tire and went with the bfg all season super sport
