Will a 2001 mustang gt AOD 4R70W transmission fit the mark viii?
01 gt transmission?

i think all the mod motors have the same bell housing from the 4.6 all the way to the truck V10 but they changed the wiring in 98 or 99 i think. dont quote me on this but im pretty sure all you will have to do is swap a few wires in the plug and bolt it in.

Yes you can do it. It's a better trans, also.
Have to change a handful of things. I've done it in a thunderbird for a friend. I believe it's a shift solenoid, a couple of sensors, and maybe a speedo gear. Hate to send you to TCCOA to do the research, but a quick search either here or there should turn up what you need to do to make the swap. There's probably a post somewhere on here from me with what we did to make it work.
