03 Lincoln LS idles low sometimes

Recently purchased an 03 Lincoln LS v8 /w 38K miles on the odometer. Well recently I've noticed that sometimes the car idles very low and seems like it is about to die. I give it a little gas but it does not really help until I actually set it in drive and physically drive off.

Any help in identifying what the problem may be is helpful.

Very common problem.

There's at least three PCM software updates available which address this, long crank times, and stumbles on acceleration.

TSB 05-06-05 calls for replacing a portion of PCV tube that develops vacuum leaks.

An '03 with 38K? Shouldn't this be warranty?
Here in Canada ALL Lincolns have a base warranty of 4years/80,000 kms. My understanding is that U.S. is 4 years/50,000 miles.
