I am selling my 1993 mark 8. It was recently sideswiped on the skukull in PA by some crack head who fell asleep. As a testamete to the car the right door and window still function. No frame damage and the car is still drivable. Car has 137k and still runs great. I have noticed no oil consumption on a 5000 mile change interval. I use mobil 1 synthetic.
I have done the following:
Complete tune up with wires, etc.
New front brakes and rotors.
New Alternator.
1997 Mark Rims (got rid of snow flakes)
New lower left ball joint.
New thermostat and hoses.
New headlight housings and bulbs (right and left)
Replaced oil filter plate gasket.
Car had the following replace prior to my purchase ( have recepits for all work)
Trans completely rebuilt.
New front and rear air struts and shocks.
New rh upper control arm.
New right front ride height sensor.
New water pump and serpentine belt.
New oil pan.
New left door hinges (dealer installed.)
New left door handel (painted and matched by dealer.)
Car is perlecent white with black interior. I will post pictures when I get some free time this week. The car is worth repairing. I just do not want to deal with it. I am going to purchase a gen 2 mark 8. This car would be a great daily driver as it was for me. Still drives straight and A/C blows cold (kept me nice and cool this summer.)
