1999 Lincoln Town Car

Hello -

I really need clarity. I just bought a used Lincoln Town Car, and I had it put on a regular diagnostic & code P0304 was the only code which appeared. It has a number of listings under that particular code.

Then suddenly yesterday my car starts flashing. Meaning radio flashed, Hot/Cold temp gage went all the way down, and the car seldom putted. Hope I am being somewhat clear, as I am a young woman who knows nothing about cars. Specially Lincoln's Just got rid of a 2002 Cadillac which was a peice of JUNK. I hope whatever this problem is I won't have to spend thousands of dollars.

If you know anything please help.

According to my code book, "Cylinder #4 misfire." That should be the closest cylinder to the rear on the passenger side. Could be a sparkplug or faulty wire.

If you know anything please help.

We know lots here, lol. Time to get dirty...a simple tune up will most likely fix your issue. Like whiplash said, start on the #4 cylinder and go to town. Good luck getting to it though, the engines really in there.

The "flashing" issue sounds like a problem with the alternator.
