Guys -

A little help if you can. I just bought a used 03 LS V6 with 29k miles. Found an awesome deal. Is there any way i can put the Navigation system / thx sound system in the car. Whether i have to go to the dealership or whatever i want put the Nav in. I have seen 03's with the NAV - but didn't know if you could get the factory system if it didn't originally come with one. Thanks.

i had the same problem and the answer is, as i was told, to just get the aftermarket one, they suggested the pioneer d2, which is sick but costs $1500 (so i just kept it stock)

RE: 2003 Lincoln LS Navigation System

I was told that you can not put factory navigation into a car that didn't come with it. As of yesterday, I proved them wrong. I have fully functioning navigation in a plain Jane 2006 Expedtion XLT and I didn't cut a single wire on the vehicle. Installer.com had the plugs that goes into the radio and is the same as the nav processor and I picked up the speaker plug and the plug that hooks up into the vehicle harness without cutting anything. I got the nav plug and antenna part numbers from Zarb electronic in California who will custom build you a harness if you want and I bought a factory wiring manual off ebay that gives you all the pin outs and I wired it up matching a to a and b to b. Not tough at all. The only thing I haven't figuared out yet is what I need to turn 90 degrees clockwise to get the compass pointing North instead of West. Anyone know where that input comes from? Also, I originally bought a nav head unit from a Lincoln LS thinking the trim would come off, but it doesn't. While I was testing my aviator unit that worked perfect. I went ahead and pulled in the aviator head unit to test it. It said cd error when I tried to do anything with the cd's. All 6 lights are lit up. Anyone know if there's an easy fix for that?
