2010 Carlisle curse

We suffered the Carlisle curse. About 20 miles from home Sharon's car overheated due to an intermittemt fan connection. Sent her along in my car and I hobbled home in her's. Pulled the fan, soldered new leads, cut off the connectors, and wire nutted everything together. Will have to redo it later by epoxy filling (potting) the soldered connection and and installed some quick disconnects instead of wire nuts.

Hasn't she been dealing with the overheating fan issue for a while now? Sucks to hear what happened. Are you still going to make it out there?

They're here! :)

Glad to read that it worked out for you.

This happened to us at 75 mph on the turnpike Thursday morning.

Fortunately the best Mark VII mechanic I know reads FaceBook, where I posted the picture before the flatbed arrived. Before the car was unloaded at the hotel in Carlisle, he had a replacement radiator in the trunk of his car to bring to the hotel, where he made the replacement between storms.

Props to people like LincolnMania of Scott's Automotive.

Awesome story! :)

Glad to see you made it alright John, despite your trouble. :)

Thanks and thanks.

We trailered PINKIN and had hoped to park it for four days and tool around in the triple black 1990 (OldSchool1). Unfortunately, the 90 spent the weekend at the hotel's parking lot and we put about 50 miles on PINKIN (cocktails, dinner, movie, cocktails, dinner, movie) ~including~ the five minutes of HAIL that we got on Friday at 1:30 PM.
