Will I have any problems with 235/50/18 inch tires fitting which are 27.3 inches tall? Im concerned these tires might be too tall? Should I go for 235/45?
I don't think you will have any problems but you will have a bit of sidewall making those 18s a bit smaller... the new tire would be .7 inches taller which isn't much.
