255/50VR16 - Would they fit without rubbing?

Hello All:

I'm looking at Yokohama AVID V4S 255/50vr16. The circumference is very close to my MK8 stock tires 9225/60-16) and I would like to know if anyone had experience (good or bad) with this tire size.
Would it rub? How 'bout the brand?
Other comparables (at "The Tire Rack" web site) are BF Goodrich g-Force sport, Dunlop SP Sport 8000 and Sumitomo HTR Z.
Any other thoughts? Thanks.

PS: I was also looking at 235/55-16. Any experience with this size? Thx.

I've got 235/60-16 on mine with over 1/2" of clearance.

I have 255/50/17's all the way around on my Mark. If you want to see some pics/info go down about 10 posts in this forum folder.
255/50/17's = 27"
255/50/16's = 26"

I don't see why they wouldn't fit your car, but then again, I am using Stang wheels with a different offset then the stock Mark wheels. Your speed on the tac will be off with the 255/50's. I think you can pull it off.
