RE: 4.10 Gear work

Glen...those must be your times with your stock 3.07 gears...what did it run with the 4.10's?

I assume that is with your stock gears because those times are only 3/100ths quicker than mine back when my car was bone stock, no tune up, original wires, original plugs, 60k miles on them! and 3/4 tank of gas and a trunk full of detailing stuff, and some tools(about 100 extra lbs) and old tires...

here are my very first time slips from my first time out in my car(1/4 mile)...look at my 330 and 660 times compared to yours...your car must have run 15.02 in stock form if you ran it in the full 1/4 mile. (notice it took me until the third pass to learn the lights in my car, and the date on the time slips!)

so, what do the 4.10's run?

RE: 4.10 Gear work

Craig,
Those ARE with 410's

The first pass against the Lightning was an Elimination round, The Lightning "went red" and Glen forgot to use it as a "FREE TIME TRIAL".

Notice the RT's in the first slip

The second slip.. he has my MPH posted wrong my car wouldn't run 89MPH down a mineshaft {HAHA}

He ran a 9.66 {after cooled down} this last friday night

RE: 4.10 Gear work

Keep in mind his car was running 10.0-10.15 before he changed the gears, that and his car has a stock tune and it's jacking with his shift points.

Once he gets his front end straightend out and aligned, and gets the car tuned I'm sure he can run a 9.50

He ran a 9.66 subtracted from 10.15 is very close to .5's improvement.
that's not to shabby from a non tuned car with only a gear swap

RE: 4.10 Gear work

That was my 4.10's runs.

My reaction time just suck, I do everything that Tommy says.

RE: 4.10 Gear work

Glen,
Believe it or not.. your RT's are doing two things.
1. they are getting better
2. although they are still "slow" they are becomming consistant.

"NOW" that you've finally gotten the consistant part down pat.. you can now work on getting your RT's "better".

.162
.164
.168

That is showing the consistancy that we've been telling you about...
First comes the consistancy as we've told you.

Remember tiff saying "show me 3 timeslips" with "consistant" RT's and we'll "work from there".

Your now in the ballpark!

Need to get the bushings and balljoints squared away in your car, that in itself will speed up the "cars reaction time".

Since tiff replaced all her front end parts she's now having a problem with "redlights" because the car is "reacting" alot quicker than it was with worn out lower control arm bushings.

Your "in the hunt now" glen... atleast you aren't cutting
.350's and .250's.

Little by little this will all "fall into place".
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!

RE: 4.10 Gear work

Glen... get with me the next time we're at the track and we'll work on your reaction times.

I won't be there this week... it's my little brother's Graduation.

RE: 4.10 Gear work

Glen how much tire pressure are you running in the front tires?

Remember you were instructed to show up at the track with "X" amount of tire pressure?

Didja do it?
