4.10 + Slip teeth

Hey everyone,

I'm rather new to everything, been following the forums for about a month. Just wanted to ask a question:

With standard Ford Racing 4.10 gears, how many teeth should my slip differential have? I'm looking into Auburn Gears, they have a 28 tooth IRS compatible one, as well as the 31 tooth version.

Thanks,
~Kevin

RE: 4.10 + Slip teeth

that shouldn't matter when you buy the gears. I'm assuming you're buying the differential though, and our cars have the 28-spline axles. You may want to look into an Eaton posi as well. The local shop around here (DTS, pretty well respected) said that the Eaton is better than the Auburn, plus it's rebuildable, unlike the auburn. Cost is a little higher though.
