All I can say is... WOWZERS! Without a doubt one of the best outdoor shows I've been to. The array and quality of the cars present was outstanding.
This show was started by the NYC Highway Patrol in 2001 to benefit the families of police and firefighters killed on 9/11. Since then it has grown into a major event with cars coming from many States.
We had a few celebrities present... The NY Yankees, Val Kilmer, "Big Pussy" and "Vinny" from the Sopranos, Butch Patrick better known as Eddie Munster, Will Castro of Unique Whips, one of the original Batmobiles, and my favorite... Dragula!
We usually go to shows in a "pack" so to speak, the same group of guys always parking together. My friend George won Best Hot Rod for his 41 Willys (the purple one behind my El Camino in the pictures) out of easily a couple of hundred rods.
