I bought a Lincon Mark VIII on November 18th. only to have the Transmission go out on me the next day. I cannot afford to fix it, and the dealership that sold it to me will not take any responsibility (it was a buyer beware situation) So I am selling it.
I paid over $2,000 for it, but since it needs a new transmision, I am selling it for $1,800. the body is in good condition. the engine is in good shape. The drivers seat needs work. and the interior has seen better days. (its sad, the previous owner did not take care of a fine leather interior)
I need to sell it soon. I live in Chicago Ill. And would prefer to sell it localy. Also would prefer cash, since I have been burned by people passing bad checks before, No offense, just "once burned, twice shy" is all.

The car is black with chrome trim, very nice looking.

unfortunatly the Illinois Lemon Laws only cover the sale of new cars. this was a used car, that When I bought it, I knew had some cosmetic damage, and needed some bulbs for the taillights. These were small issues and the car was sold "as Is" Of course the Tranz didnt go out for about 24 hours.
Turns out they had filled it with extra thick fluid. I had the Transmission flushed,Since the fluid smelled burnt and I was thinking that I would find small metal shavings in there, but it was clean. the mechanic who did the actual flushing, said that it is a pretty common trick.
basicaly I got taken. and now I am trying to re-coup my losses, since I cannot afford to fix the transmission.

Wow. What dealer? I'll make sure I never go to them.

Really bad business for them to do something like this. Hopefully they'll lose more sales from this than it would have cost them just to take the car back from you.

The name of the Dealership is "Quality Auto Mart" (which is rather Ironic) on 4675 S. Archer Ave. in Chicago. The name of the salesman was John Piscipo, and the manager is a Mr. Anthony.
When I tried to take it back 72 hours after I bought it. Mr. Anthony
basicly said that since I am a grownup (39) I "Shouldve Known better"
so they not only swindled me, they then proceded to Insult me.

sorry to ramble, needless to say Im still sore about it.

BTW the pics of your car are really nice...looks a lot like my car.
