I am having problems with my 94 lincoln town car's antenna. I have examined the antenna mast and everything is in good condition. It seems the relay or limit switch has gone bad. Once the antenna is fully extended the motor continues for another 30/40 seconds. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

I don't think I've ever seen a Town Car power antenna that doesn't run on for ~ 15-20 seconds after maximum extension!
If all movement appears normal, I wouldn't get too concerned.
There are no limit switches. The antenna motor is like a power widow motor. At travel ends, motor torque goes high and this triggers it off.
I suppose it's possible there's stripped teeth on the end of the plastic drive cable. If that's the case, buy a new antenna mast; it comes with the cable.
