'96 Supercharged Mark VIII

Been working on my brothers car off and on the last couple of weeks. I rebuilt the tranny and installed 8 forward clutches and 7 intermediate clutches. John has been working on the 3" exhaust welding it togeather, and lightening up the car and making way for hte air/air intercooler.

I mounted the vortech on there last weekend, and jsut got the short runner cobra intake on the car last night. Also redid a lot of wiring, tranny lines, powersteering lines, ect with all SS braided hose.

Just he last couple of days we have taken 40lbs out of the car, but will have put 50 right back in with the addition of intercooler and supercharger.

Should be getting the car tuned at the end of may. Looking for around 525rwhp @ 7000rpm on boost only. We hope to get the car's empty weight around 3600lbs to run 10.XX @ 125+mph. Here are some pics. We will run with the supercharger until next winter. A 76mm turbo will most likely be installed on the car.

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

You think 42lb injectors will be enough for 500rwhp ? What else does the fuel system consist of ?

I am almost done with mine too. Not sure if Eli moved the radiator already, but I used the new 03 cobra rad, and it fits nice under the cross bar, without cutting up the bottom support. I added the cobra fan, and the 4" inlet fits like a glove.

Those KILZ buckets are the best ... LMAO at John.

Very nice !

Hey J. Can you send any pics of that radiator setup. I just need to check out how it fits annd such. I also will most reuse my stock fan assembly.

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

We have twin walboro's in the tank now. A fuel cell will be in there with braided line soon. Definatly changing the seats too.

42lbs will make 525rwhp through a manual. Getting close to max out through an auto...

Joe, do you think I'll have issues with this intake tube ?

On my previous car I had the IAC hose routed to the blower inlet.
I don't see the difference if it's routed to the tube after the blower, as long as the hose is clamped on the IAC and the tube RIGHT ?

You guys need some coolant crossover pipes ? I think I have the pass side half somewhere

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

Jeremi - yes that will work just fine. It just needs to be filtered, metered air.
You never sent me your addy. I have two BOV's...

Jon I will try and take some pics tomorrow of the entire front.

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

Is it me or is that not the stock k-member? Who makes that? how much where. need details ASAP

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

eh, the clamps work fine.

i bet i could take those clamps off, and the rubber would be stuck to the metal hard enough that it would never leak anyway.

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

Clamps scare me... That looks a helluva lot better. Looks like we are going with new lines, aeromotive 1000 pump, and fuel cell right away. We started the car tonight and got it out of the air. It is getting closer.

RE: '96 Supercharged Mark VIII

Awesome to hear you got it started, Joe. I can't wait to see more pics and those badass videos you always make ! :) I think the Viper is going to have some competition ? LOL JK. Maybe with some NAWWSSS.

Fuel lines look PIMP, J. Where did you get another cobra manifold from ? I wish I could get a hold of a cobra manifold with some shortened runners...

I WANT BOOST !
