ABS pump constantly on above 20 MPH

A little background...

Car's been in storage since last year after the great flood. Been working on it as time allows. Last year I put in 4.10s with the help of Beerdog. I had a complete set of ebay ABS sensors, so I figured I'd replace the rears when we reinstalled the diff, mostly just to replace the old rusty originals. The car was never driven after that and sat in storage all winter.

Fast forward to a week ago. After fixing a bunch of other issues, I took the car out for a test drive. As soon as I pulled out of the garage and started moving, I immediately got a generic ABS error message on the message center. Then it switched to something like "Traction control disabled" or something like that. I drove it around the block anyway and then parked it back in the garage.

My SCT tuner showed several DTCs, but I don't remember any ABS codes, since it apparently doesn't deal with ABS. Today I bought a code reader. I assumed the ABS error was going to point to one of the rear sensors, but it instead told me it was the left front. I had a pair of fronts as well, so I replace both DS and PS sensors.

I get the other problems addressed, clear all codes, and take the car out for another spin. Now, when it hits 15 MPH where it usually does its self-check, the ABS pump starts running and won't stop. It's very loud, like a lawn mower. If I get below 15 MPH it'll stop, but no matter what speed I'm going, if I hit the brakes, even lightly, it goes into full ABS mode and pulses the brakes.

The thing is, there are no messages on the message center, and no codes on the reader. The car seems to be perfectly happy with what's going on. I didn't drive it far, as I was afraid the ABS pump would burn itself out. It's just strange that the car gave me an error right off the bat before I swapped the front sensors, but doesn't seem to care now that the ABS pump is going nuts.

I'm assuming that I've got another bad sensor but without a code, I have no idea how to proceed.

Oh BTW, I know the sensors are 98s because the engineering number stamped on them starts with "F8".

SO, has anybody seen this kind of behavior before?
