AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

After 30 or so years of using Amsoil lubricants in various vehicles and other uses from boats to weedeaters & chain saws, I have taken the plunge and started an independent Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants dealership. I would like to offer these fine products to LOD members and other readers of this forum.

Amsoil is the firsr and oldest automotive related synthetic lubricant in the World, starting in 1972.

Amsoil not only has the oldest line of synthetic lubricants, they have the largest selection, the broadest coverage, and the most comprehensive warranty in the business.

Among the products offered are numerous motor oils from 0W-30 {in my MK8} to SAE60 racing oil for fuel dragster use, and every other variation you can imagine. Also offered are several different grades of gear lubricants, and a universal ATF fluid that has stopped all traces of T/C lockup clutch shudder in every case I've tried it, or any of my customers have tried. Marine applications are also offered, such as 100:1 2 cycle oil.

Send me a PM, or e-mail me at cpropman@aol.com, give me your name and address, and I will US Mail you a catalog from Amsoil. Order by toll free # from this catalog from Amsoil, use your credit card, and lubricants will be shipped direct to you!

I haven't found a way to offer a discount to members as yet while using this catalog. The order is placed direct with Amsoil, and billed/shipped direct to you. If I had the lubricants shipped to me, and then I shipped to you, the shipping costs for double shipping would eat up any discount I could offer.

Perhaps, in the future, I can figure out a way to give a discount. Or perhaps the LOD leadership can help me figure out a way to offer a door prize at an occassional membership event.

In the meantime however I can offer you armchair convenience in obtaining the finest synthetics on the market.

So, if you are interested in a catalog, contact me by PM, or at cpropman@bellsouth.net

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

No offense taken, but there is no connection between Amsoil and Amway.

Perhaps the similar sounding first syllable of the name is the key.

Amsoil is named after the founder, Col. Al Amatuzio, USAF, ret. who after 25 years as an Air Force fighter pilot, returned to civilian life in the mid-1960's with the knowledge that synthetic oils had enabled jet engines to survive at rpm's we only dream about.

Aware of potential, he assembled a team of the industry's most knowedgeable chemists to develop the world's first syn. oil to meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute service requirements.

This oil was introduced in 1972 and set a new standard for motor oil quality and performance.

The Amsoil line of synthetic lubricants has grown till the catalog I offer has 31 full color pages of all sorts of synthetic lubricants and related items.

PM or e-mail me your name and address, and I'll US Mail you a copy of this catalog.

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

jsut out of curiosity how does teh two stroke oil comaare to the redline stuff im using any benifit to going to amsoil

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

Sorry I missed your post flying frog, but better late than never.
Not real sure I know how to compare the two and I sure as heck ain't going to knock red-line as they make good products. Also I have no idea what your application is so I can make no recommendation as to the proper Amsoil product to use.
You see, Amsoil makes four (4) different 2 cycle oils: (1) a pre mix that mixes as lean as 100:1, ideal for weed eaters, chain saws and the like (2)a racing 2 stroke oil for all sorts of modified, high rpm use in racing (3) 2 stroke oil intended for outboards with oil injection, also suitable for pre mix @ 50:1 (4) an oil for air cooled, larger 2 stroke engines not in a racing environment.
So you see, it's not a one size fits all with Amsoil and 2 strokes and the same applies all across the product line as they are VERY APPLICATION SPECIFIC.
I promise to come back and check for your reply and will prepare a specific answer to your specific question.
Allow me to mention here that I am changing to bell south DSL and my aol email address will expire at the end of the billing period.

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

sounds like i would need the racing 2 stroke oil if any we mix it at 30-1 i thing with 110 octane. I switched to redline after sticking a few pistons with castor. I think red line has 5-10 differnt 2 stroke oils as well some mix with alcky ect. i just use the stuff my engine builder gives me but im alwasy willing to try new things

my main concern is that it holds up under extreme compresion ratios and heat also lote of rpm over 10k at times it can meet or beat my current oil i have now and cost around 50 a gallon that im paying for redline

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

flamark, Just to throw my .02 in..... As far as I know, the Amway business model is no longer in existence in the US, as well as many other countries. A private business did obtain the rights to solely market the best products that they had available, as well as a huge line of new products that are exclusive to the company. The new business now takes advantage of the internet to increase marketshare for name brand products as well.

RE: AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS

Well, I missed your post again until today, guess I better start checking here more often! I've sent you a PM as well as this post.

I believe Amsoil "Dominator" 2 cycle oil is the oil you need for your use. It is formulated for high performance use on and off track. Contains heavier base synthetic oils that provide more lubricity for "on the edge" operation. It retails for $32.85 per gallon.

If you will PM or e-mail me your mailing address, I'll US Mail you a catalog, and there is info inside on how to buy at wholesale by becoming a "preferred customer". It costs $20 per year and you'll save much more than that if you spend $100 per year.

So please forgive my transgression and shoot me a line.::roll::
