Any thoughts for a fall event?

There seems to be limited interest going to the drag strip, but there's still lots of time to get together.

Any thoughts on an activity? Maybe a Sunday morning 'fun rally' where we map out a course (with misleading directions for added fun) and see who gets there first, a club dinner at a restaurant or ??, or maybe once/twice a month we'll designate a Wed or Sun night as a Tim Horton's night, maybe alternating between east/west/north of TO.

Let me know... it seems to have gotten quiet lately....

RE: Any thoughts for a fall event?

Hi Jim:
Glad you brought this up. It's been on my mind as well. Before you know it, we'll be getting ready for winter.

I like your mini-rally idea. That would be fun and family members could participate. Could be a lot of work though.

I was also trying to think of an event that would let us take advantage of the fall colours, which is only a few weeks away. What about a mini-wine tasting in the Niagara region followed by an early dinner someplace nice?

RE: Any thoughts for a fall event?

I am busy coaching and playing hockey but I would like to participate if I am open.

The Niagara tour sounds like fun. LMK if you need some help organizing it. We could pre-book some tours at a couple of wineries.

Is anyone going to go to St. Thomas? Would it be easier to get to Cayuga?

Hi guys;

Looks like next year before I'll get back to the track.

The winery tour is a good idea. If we can schedule a meet late October (after the 19th) or November, I should be able to make it.

Maybe we could revisit the go-kart track event, and a beer or 2 to top it off.

Here's a link with wineries in the Niagara Region:

There's 4-5 "big names" that have tours all day Saturday and Sunday. Any suggestions on stops would be appreciated. Maybe do an afternoon with an early dinner, or a stop or two then lunch then maybe a few more. Could even make it an international event with some US neighbours.

Let's set something up in Early November? My preference is Sunday as Saturdays are toast for us, but majority rules so just pick one!

I say we make 'karting and a beer' a Dec/Jan ice breaker (pardon the pun).

Neil, maybe there's something we could do on the eastern side of TO... you seem to make most of the trips west.

... and yes, Goalie, I might need some help.

Jim;

Sounds good. A lunch event would be better for me.

One place that is neat is Chateau Du Charme(sp). It is in a building that was designed after an old chateau.

LMK what you want me to do Jim.
