I need several blown (not functional) HID bulbs from any year Mark VIII.

I'll pay for shipping and any other handling charges.

If you donate one, I'll give you more info. For now it's just a speculation. It should save us some money in the future though.

Should be,
high beam is not HID.

Matt, I would have to ditch the filament of the bulb, and I don't want to do this with a working bulb !!! Unless you have one that's dimmed or not functional, I can't pay you enough for it.

Keep them coming ....

HID's don't have a filament, they are not incandescence bulbs.

I've got one that is still about 75% operational. Starts up green, then brightens up to pretty much full power in a few seconds. You can have it. Just PM me. Still curious about what the hell you're doing with them.

Knowing Jeremi, we are all in for a HIGE surprise(well, gen 1 owners, mostly).

one hint Jeremi...will I be glad I didnt let that guy rake me over the coals of his "I forgot how to drive with my brand new HID's " coals?

BTW, I think MDavis just replaced one in his gen 2. I'll go hit him up for it, ok? if I get him on this bandwagon, will that count as "helping", and let me in to the priveledged info?

Craig thanx for the help, but I need the actual bulb bases. It's funny but there is another guy on the old board, who came up with the same idea supposedly. However things are not as easy as he thinks.

If you get HIDs, you might as well consider buying just the housings from the junkyard, and use $30 d2s bulb with proper ballasts from the start instead of paying $170 for a new bulb each time it decides to go out.
