Body side mldg swap

Ok,so I cant buy body side mldgs from the dealer for my 93 anymore,so before I call them back up,I was wondering if I could use 2nd gen mldgs.Anybody know?

Yes, they are the same. Do you need the moldings or just the chrome strips?

Well,I bought a couple of rust free doors because mine were rotting away at the bottom.And when I tried to remove the mouldings from the new doors so they could be painted,the mldgs came off in pieces.So,I figured before I attempt to take the mldgs offf of my old drs I would see if I could just get new.I would really prefer to use my old ones because from what I have heard,the new ones will be paint to match and I dont play with matches!

They should come off with ease....a bit of heat from a flood light, or do it in the sun and use a plastic knife to peel it away....the hotter they are, the easier they'll come off.
