He has a 3000+ Barton Core 333FSB processor. He built the computer about a year and a half ago.
He was considering the MSI with Nvidia chip set.
Remember - this is a kid with no job and no money, so he was trying to save. Lucky for him, I'm thinking this might make a good Hanukkah present.

No.. no, thats not what I meant. Asus offers Mb's in all price ranges. I was just saying they offer good stuff from experiance with other MB's. Btw, ABIT is pretty good too.

LOL, I think we're both misunderstanding each other.
I meant he was going to try to fix the mb he has by himself cause he didn't have money for a new one. Damn lazy kid.
A year and a half ago, he had the money, I don't think he bought the AMD or whatever to save, he just wanted me to post that his computer is a year and a half old, cause he knows it's outdated stuff. And if I understood more than 1/2 of what's being posted here, perhaps it would help.
And I can tell from talking to him that he is appreciative of the input here, and is going to check out the suggestions offered. Why he won't post on his own is beyond me, but he trusts the people here to give good advice.

He went with Nvidia cause the other ones wouldn't work with his processor. He is planning a new computer (hmmmm, maybe the lazy ass will get a job to pay for it), so I'm sure he'll consider all those motherboards when he finally does get it together.
