Carlisle Truck Nationals a blast a always

I took first at the Truck Nationals in Carlisle! They had about a dozen El Caminos and other "small" 2WD trucks lumped together for a class of about 30 vehicles.

As always this show is a lot of fun, there were less in attendance than last year but it still made for good people and truck watching. There was one guy who was hysterical... a midget who drove a pickup that was so jacked up I could easily walk under it, I can't begin to explain the contraption he had rigged up to drive this thing.

And of course the LOD was actually well represented with myself and Bud Pythko who was there with his lovely wife and his F250. We both paid a visit to the new Alexander Sosiak memorial plaque on the LOD bench near the grandstand.

Next year I'd like to see a few more LODers who have trucks come to this show, it really is a lot of fun.

I haven't downloaded the pictures from my camera yet but Carlisle has posted many already. You can see them here.

Congrats Leo, and thank you Bud, for the photo of Alexander's plaque. It's well-worded, that's for sure!

Congrats Leo, perhaps next year I can try to attend. How many Harley trucks were there?

This is a clean looking swap...

You'll enjoy it! I did see a number of Harley trucks including an F350 but I have no idea how many altogether. I don't think there was a class for them. In this show classes have more to do with 2WD or 4x4 or size or mods than model. And it's all professionally judged too, no peer judging.
