Hello proudy owners...
I'm still driving my car with the Module VIII, and
I really enjoy it. Better than ever, because, I'm
not fear to breake my oil carter.

But what is my problem here...
I would like to know what is exactly the "code 214"
I saw many post, talking about the "cam sensor"
I also saw a post, changing with Ford part, and
the Check Engine light still on...
My Mark is a 1994 with 100 000 miles, all stock,
except the "air-ride control"
The check engine light come sometime... but now
it come when my engine is hot, and remain longer.
I already changed the 02 sensor...
Thanks for any response

RE: Check engine code 214....

Cam shaft positioning sensor. DO NOT GO TO A MECHANIC. It's easy to do from what I hear, BUT you will need to get instructions from someone else on the furum as I don't know.

It's a 12$ part you can get at the ford dealership. (problem fixed)

peace out..

edit: here ya go... (found it)

The sensor is located directly behind the Power steering resevoir. All you have to do is take out the 2 bolts holding the resevoir and then the 1 bolt holding the sensor in, then remove the clip and take it out......

(part looks alot like a headlight bulb and is black plastic shapped in an L form.

RE: Check engine code 214....

I had the same code a while back, I replaced the sensor which was actually about $32 from Ford. It is behind the Power Steering Resevoir, and isn't that hard to replace.

When I was done I was still getting the code. You need to check the harness clip. They tend to break which causes the CE light to come on. My sensor was good it was the harness that was broken.
