Check out Kumho Ecsta KH11 tires

I'm still trying to figure out why Kumho calls these "Grand Touring" tires when they are clearly high performance tires.

Some stats from www.tirerack.com:

Average reader survey: 8.4

Speed Rating: W (168 mph) :eek:
Price: $60

What gives? Great tires for cheap! In fact, I'm having a couple put on my car tomorrow.

Ehhh... you bought them all ready? Return them. You get what you pay for with these. The tires only hold traction and perform in bad weather conditions for the first few thousand miles, then they start degrading... FAST.

Not that I don't believe you, but I've read through all 162 reviews for the tire and not one said that they degrade. A lot of folks did say that they don't last very long, but for $60, I don't really care.

In any case, we'll see how they do. I'll post an update at around 10K miles.

Were they drag radials with rubber so soft that you can gouge it with your finger nail?
