im installing the intake on my 97, does it matter which imrcs you use? i had fox lake do the intake and match everything so id like to use the cobra stuff, but i just noticed i need cobra lower bolts instead of the mark bolts due to the thickness of the imrcs. i guess what im after is will there be any problems if i use the cobra imrcs and have the intake a touch lower then it would be with the mark imrcs? also i saw a thread say to use the cobra imrc to intake gasket with the mark imrcs, this a good idea or no? also is there anyone near me, south of rockford, that can turn off a pats system in a 96 i bought? morons knocked the dash apart at the repo lot. if no ill juat take it to lonnie when i get the 97 tuned

You can use the Cobra IMRCs, they are the same in 98. Same part number and everything. The 97 is just slightly thicker probably due to it being aluminum. The 96 and older you can not use with the Cobra intake.

i ended up having an extra long bolt in the mix somehow instead of the one i needed. now i just need to get the egr mount cut off the upper and its ready to go in. once i get everything buttoned up and have it idling ill bring it and the other one i need the pats turned off on down for a tune. puttin the water pump and pulley on tonight then pretty much just have to pait for the new crank pulley to arrive. in the mean time im dropping off my 93 driveshaft to get it checked out for this car. now if i can just rememeber what i did with the plug i bought to put on the header egr inlet
