codes P0171, P0174 and P0304 LincolnLS V6

I own a 2000 Lincoln LS V6 that has been running rough and the service engine light has been staying on and flashing occasionaly. I finaly retieved codes which are P0171, P0174 and P0304. P0171 & P0174 indicate lean condition and P0304 indicates misfire on cylinder 4. Could the misfire code P0304 be occuring due to the other codes P0171 & P0174 ? Where should I start? mass air flow sensor? It does not look like a simple task to check spark plugs and coils on the LS.

2000 LS V6 with 60,000 miles Is it diffucult to change plugs/coils and how much time should I expect it to take? I know it involves removing the intake manifold. I have never attempted taking all of this apart, but I have service manual on DVD

It's a Lincoln forum for the LS6. I really don't know the car, but from looking around this site, it looks as you may have to remove the intake to replace the coil packs, but not the plugs...If you have the service manual, use it and spend a Sunday learning about your Lincoln. I have done the same with my Mk VIII. Printed out the pages I needed and took 'em out and went to town repairing stuff. But I's still start with the plugs...In that forum, it also sounded like that engine has a problem with leaky valve cover gaskets and allowing oil to leak onto the plugs....good luck.

i have the same problem have the v6 2001 have the same codes i replaced the coil,the spark plugs,the valve cover gaskets due to some oil in the spark plug area they said the spark could be grounding. after all of that it was still doing the same thing so i broke down and took it to the dealer ship my uncle works at and they said the ecu needs to be replaced. now im looking for a rebuilt one because a new one costs about 800 to be put in

should have just brought it in in the first place
