My friend has a 2001 Police Interceptor. He wants to change the spark plugs, but a shop quoted him 300 dollars for labor. I told him that I would do it for him. They also told him that spark plugs would be 10 dollars each :eek: because the cruiser too a "special plug". Max, Bill? What plugs do you recommend for a spark plug?
 
Not that I am aware of unless it calls for iridium plugs... the only plugs that cost $10 a pop.

$300 for labor is also nuts it takes 30 min to change them on the Crown Vic... much easier than on a gen 1 Mark VIII and just as hard as doing it on a Gen II.

I always had great luck with Autolite AP764 (Platinum plugs) (2.40 a pop or less) I have used them in my mark and the crown vic. They last for 100k miles and are OEM quality replacements.
 
Thanks Max! The only thing I could think that would cost 10 bucks is those new plugs for the 3 valve 4.6. They are spendy for some reason.
