door ajar message

for a day or two now my door ajar message has been on. it is driving me insane. has anyone heard of this happening, how can i fix it? i sprayed some pentratin oil in the locks but im shot for ideas. when computer stuff acts up i have no idea...

WD40 in the door latch area. Open and close the door repeatedly spraying more until all is OK.

Because you sprayed penitrating oil in there, it may take the best part of a whole can of WD40 to get rid of the wrong stuff....then again, maybe not. Keep trying...wait a number of hours, try again.

I did the WD-40 several times. Almost everytime it rained the message would come back. The last time I followed it up with lithium grease and no problem yet.
