EBC pads and rotors?

RE: EBC pads and rotors?

Driller,

I see where you are coming from. Because the force is farther away from the hub it has more leverage even with the same caliper. It makes sense now, but there is still the issue of the rear brakes % usage compared to the front and whether or not the time/money is worth changing the leverage difference from stock.

To me the answer is still no, well until I can ride in a car with the mod. Basically I'm not willing to experiment with it for the time/money involved only to be disappointed in the end.

Sidebar.............I can't believe a mathematical formula was offered in this post but when I had a question about what PS to use (see driveline forum) because of two different types listed by the repair manual and owners manual I couldn't get one reply!!! :>

Probably because the power steering is never a problem on these cars, so no one has gone to much length to know about it.

This is why we're all experts on the air ride system... ::uh::

There's lots more formulaes I could post pertinent to braking, but I just wanted to handily dispute the proposition that bigger rotors didn't matter in braking performance.

BTW, Lucas power steering fluid works for me. ;)

JP is an exception to the rule about knowledge limited to things that fail with great frequency...he knows everything about the Mark VIII. Windshield washer fluid capacity, undercoating composition, number of threads on a lug stud, number of windings in the alternator...you name it. ;)
