Flat Tire? Naaaaa!

Got a flat tire, came out yesterday morning and found the Front Passenger tire flat... I was like "Damn." lol I actually had to drive the ZX2... I do like the gas mileage, but it needs a timing belt replaced.. It has almost 200k on the original! :D So I woke up early this morning, and made my road hazzard warranty on my tires that I payed extra for, work its magic. $14 dollars and 15 minutes later, a brand new Falken 225/60-16... this will be the 3rd brand new tire ive gotten with this "Road Hazzard Warranty plan" that cost 115 bucks extra. Well worth the money!! Just had to say, whenever you get new tires, get the warranty plan. It will almost guarantee you will get your moneys worth in 1 tire replacement...

I have been getting my tires from costco lately, the road hazard is included as well as life time rotations and nitrogen fills.

Nitrogen? NO WAY

Never got one... never needed one of those plans. Most aftermarket "warranties" are there for a reason, ppl don't use them and the business ends up making money.

I would not pay extra for nitrogen, but it is part of the service and their prices are good. I forgot life time balancing too and they hand torque lugs to manufactures specs. However you only get to pick from Michelin or Bridgestone from what i saw.

The tire kept leaking from the bead area. The wheel has chrome flaking off. The tire made the car pull also, which was most likely driving it on low pressure. Lol

They used to have free mount/balance etc which gave them the edge. Now they charge $14 per tire which is in line with rest of market.

I have had great luck with Americas tire, they offer a much better selection, same lifetime rotation/balance and their shops are easier to come by and way less crowded than a costco.

Out here it would take up to 3 hrs to get the tires rotated and balanced at a costco during the weekend.

yep mine had that issue also, the chrome rims retain moisture eventually and tire shops are forced to use some "goop" to make a seal, its not pretty and only temporary.

But do they have nitrogen :p

Yea forget costco on a weekend. I get tires when they have to coupons so that gives you $80 back if you replace 4.

I also use Americas tire, down here its called discount tire. The techs are pretty good and thie web site is awesome. Also are the cheapest I've seen, but I haven't checked Costco. Either way, they price match.

Nitro molecules are larger thereby they don't loose air as much as regular compressed air.

Regular compressed air is like 80% nitrogen :p

It is because it is dry that the pressure wont fluctuate as much. The water vapor in regular compressed air is the issue.
