Had an amazing cruise night last night. There's always a rock band playing at our Tuesday cruise in Oyster Bay but last night it was all kids... little kids! I don't think any were more than 12 and they were absolutely amazing. But, at one point I heard a singer that was no little kid and when I went to look it was none other than Dee Snider of Twisted Sister! I'm not sure if he happened to be there and decided to jam with the kids or if it was somehow arranged but they sure had a good time. He did a whole set with the kids playing, it was quite amazing. Imagine a sidewalk concert with a major rocker like Dee Snider with no more than 200 people in attendance on a very narrow town street. This is normally Billy Joel's cruise night of choice but he's been conspicuously absent this year and he's never sung with any of the bands playing.
