Meanwhile, I placed an order for vintage "used race" tires - 550-16 Blockley brand tires. Supposedly the prefferred rim width is 4 inches. Overall diameter 27.1 inches, 4.4 inch tread width and 18 pounds in weight. }( }(
When I get the tires, I will verify the weight and weigh the rims as well.
