Gen 2 steering question or issue ?

on the gen 2 i drove today i noticed when i turn the wheel to make a turn the steering does not strighten by itself you have to strighten it your self any ideas?
 
thanks i figured that could be it but i wanted to post and make sure it was nothing else it could be. i haven't bought it yet. but looking to next week

I have the same issue. Its the rack. Over on lvc we had a discussion and turns out everyone that had this problem as soon as they replaced it the problem was cured. Not sure if im going to fix it since its a slight nucence and doesnt leak.
 
my dads crown vic has the same problem the lower ball joints are shot. the bad lowers allow all of the caster to go away so the steering wheel will not center like it should. less caster is good for road race cars because it makes the car handle better but its scary on a street car because it makes the car real twitchy on straight roads. just be careful with the bad ball joints as i have seen them snap off going down the road.
