There is nothing that spins me up much more than sitting at a traffic light with a vehicle that is going
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

The harmonics go right thru my body and the decklid on the thing is rattling to beat the band.

So now when one is beside me I'm going to give him something to listen to. [:D][}:)]

The 3rd Cat was removed from my Lincoln. A stainless X-pipe was installed. Then the pipes were modified to install electric cutouts. The OPEN /CLOSE in 2 1/2sec.

Before.

It was just finished at 5:00 CST. I still have to run the wiring.

Give me a little time.

Offshore fishing trip in the early morning.

X-Pipe = $60
Cutout's = $320
Labor w/ flanges,gaskets, pipe,bolts = $200

It should have been more on that. It was on the rack for 4 1/2hrs and I was right there working with him.

His flat rate is $50hr.

I used these cutouts.

They are a very nice piece. Machining is outstanding.

do you run into any problems removing the 3rd cat and putting in the x pipe? (engine light ect.) also can you feel any difference in power with the cutouts open?

No problem with removing the 3rd Cat and install the X pipe.

Your not going to tell a difference on the street.

Finally got around to completing it yesterday. I still had the wiring to install.

I'll post some pix's tomorrow.

Removing the 3rd cat will NOT throw any codes. And on 95 and older cars, removing ALL the cats will NOT throw a code. :)

Can't wait for the pics....wait, we already have pics! What are you taking pictures of, the zips ties on the wiring you've run? :roll_over:

If I ran the cutouts 1/2-3/4's open I could feel a difference, but at the full open position, it was noticeably slower. It was loud as hell so it was psycologically faster, lol.

That makes me want to get a <96 Mark just so I can take all of the cats off of it. :) lol

Lol! You CAN do it on yours, you'll just need to get a chip at the same time to "turn off" the rear O2's. Removing the front cats isn't really worth the money/time though unless you've got a bunch of mods.
