I'm looking for a good mid level DV camcorder and I'm leaning towards a JVC GR-DV800. I don't have much to spend either. Picture quality is number one on the list of must haves, variable zoom, a silent motor and analog inputs are way up there as well. Additionally, support for device control would be great but not necessary.
The price point is about $600 and there's a company on ebay that includes a ridiculous amount of extras with each camcorder FOR FREE - 64MB SD card, USB card reader, tripod, additional lens, carrying case, head and lens cleaner kits and 5 90-minute miniDV tapes. It's almost too good to believe.
Can anyone recommend a good camcorder or offer some opinions on the DV800. I found an awesome site, dvspot.com, and I'm currently checking out the reviews both there and at pricegrabber.com.
