Wow!!! Johnny Franklins did me right again! These guys have taken care of every one of my car's exhaust needs over the years. Today was no exception.
I went in asking about Flowmasters and Magnaflows. they cut off the old, and slid on each of the two mentioned so I could "test-hear" them. I opted for the Magnaflows.
Sweet deep, rich exhaust tone. Very "muscle-car" like, yet tolerable. In fact, there is nothing to 'tolerate". they saound perfect. the way a true performance V8 car should sound.
If anyone is looking to add some "depth" to their exhaust note, I recommend the Magnaflow. The Flowmaster has way too much "drone" for a Mark VIII I.M.H.O.
Perhaps its the cams, or the location of the mufflers, and the diameter/lenght of pipe. The Flowmatsers just dont sound right to me.
If any of you want/need ANY exhaust work done on any vehicle, go see Johhny Franklins. San Rafael, and Santa Rosa. The best in the bizz if you ask me.

out the door for $240 or so. Best sounding exhaust system I have ever had... and I have had some doozies! And this isnt even a system yet... just 2 mufflers!
I know this belongs in the "exhaust" forum, but this was just for you "paying LOD" members of my NOR CAL brethren. There are already enough "input" posts in the exhaust forum. You guys know me. You know what I like. This Bud's for you!
