The rods and pistons will die before the 6 bolt crank will. I have never heard of anyone breaking the 6 bolt crank. Noone.
There is a 6 bolt in the white car supercharged car my brother has. We intned on running 500rwhp until next spring and then put a 76 GTS and run 600-700rwhp. I am more worried about the rods than the crank.
I would eventually like to do a 5.0L big bore. 10.5-11 to 1 compression (forged rods and pistons), then maybe a 100-150 shot of N20 on top of that. I am contemplating using my stock crank. Do you think this would be safe?

you're gonna go through the added expense to put a BB 5.0 in, and the juice, but wont spend the extra money to get a better bump-stick? Even if the consensus was that of your stock crank being "ok"...why risk it?
have you ever had the oil pan off a 4.6 DOHC and looked at the bottom end? pretty skimpy.
