Horn and hazard lights don't work

Ever since I got my Mark, the horn and hazard flashers haven't worked. I haven't gotten around to taking it back to the dealer where I bought it, but I'm going to have a talk with them. I bought it as-is, but it supposedly went through their used-car inspection. I'd think those would be two things that would come up!

Nothing happens when I hit the horn pad (no relay clicking that I can hear or anything), nor does it honk with the panic button on the keyless remote. The headlights flash so the alarm works, just no horn. I'm suspecting a bad relay. Where is it located?

Also, when I turn on the hazard lights, nothing happens and it deactivates the turn signals. I'm guessing that would be the flasher itself, or the switch. How can I diagnose that one more?

Is there a ground in the steering column common to both of those? The airbags seem to be fine (airbag light comes on for a few seconds when I start the car and then shuts off), and all the cruise functions work as well.

RE: Horn and hazard lights don't work

The horns are behind the grill. Check the connections and grounding. At one time one of my horns didn't work and it sounded like a wounded goose. LOL! The one horn had lost good ground contact. I don't recall a relay.

Spray some electronic cleaner lightly into the hazard switch. Work the hazard and turn signal switch up/down and back/forth. This may bring it back to life. The seldom used contacts get gunked up. BTW check the fuses and flasher also. Worst case would be a new multifunction switch.
