How wide of wheels can be put on a Gen 1 - assuming stock offset and no rolling of the fender?

I know they vary depending on wheel diameter, so give me numbers for 16", 17", and 18" wheels.

So far I've discovered that 7" is the widest for 16" wheels, 8" is widest for 17" wheels, and 9" is widest for 18" wheels (though I don't know if this person rolled his fenders or is using stock offset).

And BTW, what is the stock offset on a 96? I've read 36 and 39 from two different posters.

To answer a few of your questions.
1. Stock offset should be around 36mm
2. I am running 18x9 with 275s out back
3. I had to roll the fender, and i believe it will rub if you lower the car. Stock ride height with roll works fine though.
4. I think PonyFreak aka Joe ran 295 on widened stock rims maybe as high as 305s.
