I have a question... I have recently came across an 84 mark vii gianni versace edition with only 24,000 miles on it... It has every option such as power windows, power seats, heated mirrors, leather seats, excellent conidition, new front and rear suspension and absolutely no rust. It looks like a new car almost.. I am planning on selling it but I don't really know how much the vehicle would be worth... I am just wondering what you guys would be willing to pay for a car like that...

Appraising a collector's car is almost impossible and can change monthly.

If you are intent on selling it, put it in an eBay auction and post a message in all the major Mark VII enthusiast forums. All it takes is for two collector's to want the car...supply and demand will do the rest. Just be sure to start the auction at the minimum you would be willing to sell it for, and avoid using a reserve, as most people avoid auctions with a reserve.

Though if you would like to know what market value for your car is without actually selling it, you could list it in an auction with an enormous reserve. Whatever the auction ends at is your market value. Just make sure you start it with a very low starting price so you don't get hit with a large fee; the fee is a percentage of the starting price.

As stated above, don't despair.

Current market prices for Lincoln Mark VIIs have been in the $300.00 to $4,000.00 range in the last twelve months or so. The current highest asking price is $18,000.00 for a garaged LSC in Pennsylvania with less than 1000 (yes one thousand) miles on it. Anything that starts, drives, and stops properly is worth at least $300.00 I'd like to see LOTS of pictures of this car and may even be able to host them on the web for you. Email them to oldschool1@thelincolnmarkviiclub.org
