Intake removal

So I do have the helm book. I couldn't reach the IAC to replace it last time I was taking my throttle body out. I plan on taking the intake off for the easy swap, is this recommended? I rather not, but it's either that or maybe some fuel lines and I don't know anything and depressurization.

you want to remove the intake to change the iac? if that is the question i'll say dont, thats nuts, you'll cause more headaches in the end. if you take the hood off, take the throttle body off again and get a piece of plywood and lay it across the top of the motor, making sure you dont snap anything, lay on your stomach and get a /.4 inch ratchet with an 8 mm deep socket, and pick up a gear wrench, its an open end and box end 8 mm wrench but the box end ratchet's, thats how i change them, it isnt fun, but its alot more fun then removing the whole intake!!

Yea I have 8mm and universal etc. There was just fuel line or some type of line right behind the bolt. I think I was just getting impatient after everything else I did. You also remove the plastic for the wipers etc right?

it would be easier yes. its really not hard to change it, it just takes alot of time because the bolts can only be turned a tiny bit at a time.
