Ok, I nixed the sirius radio idea and got me an iPod Nano. What is the best way to listen to the iPod through my car radio without having to by a new head unit? Thanks.

RE: iPod help

Easy, best quality, way on the cheap is a cassette adapter(if you have cassette). Next would be a fm adapter to send your signal to a predefined fm frequency. Do consider a quality unit if you go that route, cheap units will not sound as good as the cheaper cassette adapter. Best option is a direct fm modulater attachement. It plugs directly into your head unit's antenna jack (or,in some cases, attach directly to speaker wires).

I have a Griffen Itrip Auto I copped at circuit city for $75 about 5 or 6 months ago, I now have a head unit i can directly plug my ipod into so keeping it is redundant.

it worked great and definitely serves its purpose, and gives quality sound with a little bit of playing with stations. also it charges your Ipod as it plays.

You can have it for $30 bucks shipped.

like the guy above said you might not get perfect CD quality sound if you don't program it to a clear station, but if your looking for something cheap that will work fine get at me.

Thanks, but I bought a Griffin cassette adapter see how that works first. I heard the cassette adapters were good. I'll keep you in mind if.....

Does your head unit have CD changer controls? If so, and you don't have a CD changer (or you don't mind giving it up if you do), you can get an auxiliary input adapter.

Here's one with two universal auxiliary inputs:

This one has 1 aux & 1 dock connector. It can charge the iPod and navigate tracks/playlists from the head unit:

Crutchfield says they aren't compatible with our cars, but as long as your head unit has changer controls, they are. I use the 2-input version with my XM radio and MP3 player.. Works like a charm!

I've seen these. I still want to have my changer as an option for me. The real fix here is getting an iPod ready head unit.
