Is there an interest in 4 pot brake kits for stock wheels?

I was rescently talking to a local shop owner about going to 4 pot calipers. He said if there was enough interest, he'd look into developing a kit with rotors, calipers, brackets, and lines....but I need to track down a few parts first. So, before I track down the parts I need (wheel, steering knuckle assembly, rotor) I wanted to make sure there was some interest in something like this.

There is interest but there are cheaper ways. You can simply bold on Cobra Calipers and get some 13 inch rotors.

It's a pointless upgrade. The stock brakes have enough clamping force to lock the wheel at just about any speed. The limitations are in the ability of the stock system to absorb and dissipate heat. Without going to a bigger or thicker rotor with better venting, there is no point in upgrading the caliper.

Thats why he is looking at developing an entire kit with rotors and calipers. He'd be using Wilwood calipers, as well as a brembo rotor of some sort. The point is that they would fit inside the stock wheels. He's done this for f-body's in the past with good results.

On both my 93 and 96, I have difficulty getting my ABS to kick in, especially after installing w rated tires. The tires don't skid either. It would appear that the limiting factors on my cars were the clamping force or the friction force.

you can get brembo's from a stang brand new for about a grand. those are pretty good. i dont think you can beat that price for what you get.
