Just spent over $500; all for nothing

So, just got my Mark back from the shop. I had to have both upper ball joints and control arms changed, I also had both front rotors turned. Well, first a little background info. The car had been making a weird grinding noise in the front for the past couple of months. I took it to several shops and they all said it was the ball joints and gave me estimates of around $450. Like I said I got the car back today and guess what? Yep, still making the noise in the front end. I took it back to the shop and the guy looked at it and said the noise is coming from the lower ball joints! AHHHHHH!!!! Don't worry the front brakes work fine.

my rule is if you replace the uppers, you might as well do the lowers at the same time. the front end is already apart, you would have saved alot in labor!

Yeah, still just aggravating also the transmission like to decide to just change gears on the highway whenever it feels. Don't get me wrong I love my car, I just wish it would work when I want it to.

So did you complain to the "guy" you had "fix" your car? Did you see how much he'd deduct on the lowers for screwing up the first estimate? Report to the BBB if you don't get some kind of satisfaction.

Actually, it wasn't spending for nothing...you got the uppers changed that probably needed it anyway.
