Leaky Wheels

The chrome wheels (OEM) on my 98 Mark have been leaking air. I had the four of them cleaned and sealed the tires with that rubber gook/sealant several months ago. They are beginning to leak again. The tire man says the are slowly leaking beacuse the chrome has chipped around the bead (where the tire meets the wheel) Is there a better solution to this problem that anyone can advise me about? Also, maybe these wheels are covered by my Premium Care Warranty through Ford that I have on the car. Anyone to share experiences with this problem will be appreciated.

It is not entirely uncommon for aluminum alloy wheels to have this problem. There are even factory authorized procedures for sealing leaky wheels.

I had this problem, then had it fixed by a local body shop. These wheels are notorious for it, so I was told...

Solution: New set of rims !

I've heard many had thier wheels changed under warantee.
