LED Turn signal on Mirror

Hi

I wanted to do this project for a long time.I start to work on putting LED on the side mirror to use as a turn signal and puddle lamp.

For the puddle lamp is going to be super white and turn signal is going to be yellow.
Iam wiring up multiple LEDs in series to work off 12volt.
Spec of the LED is 5mm, VDC 3.4, 1-20ma

Way cool....There is NO chance of those whites coming on 'in flight' is there? Or are they keyed to the original puddle lamps?

Keep going...I want to see the turn signals!!!
 
I was going to wire the pubble lamp to the door light on the inside.
Since my car is a 94 I dont have pubble lamps.
 
It does fit with some re-wiring....but WHY spend 600 bucks when you can strap some 10 dollar LED's to it? Must be nice to be rich, lol!

Yes they do. I have actually seen them in person on a 96. I personally prefer the Gen1 mirror shape over the Gen 2s. But the Gen 2s have the neat puddle lamps and LEDs.

Oh but they do require some minor rewiring.
 
I was looking at ebay and you can get 20 LED for $5.
I got the LED locally for 10 LED for $15 plus tax.
 
Not too bad, I see the individual LED's on there, each with their own resistor. I had sooo many ideas, and than they all faded when it came to the time it took to install/customize all that crap.

It is taking a long time to get all this stuff working out right.
Wiring up the turn signal is going to take the longest.

Ohhhh....see the eBay ones come with resistors on each of them set up for 12 volts. :p FIX YOUR SIG :)
 
$15 for wires
$15 for super white LED
$10 for solder
$140 for soldering guns

I think ebay is cheaper.
 
OMG, haha! I think so too...but maybe you can sell these and make some money back?
