Some of you may know I bought the set of HID's a couple weeks ago for an Xmas present for my younger brother (mrk ate).

I was super happy with the condition of the housing when they did arive, but decided since they were out I would go ahead and wetsand them and buff them anyhow.

Here are the pics of the progression, and installed pics.

Here are the differences in light output between the stock housings with a DDM 6000k HID kit, and the HID housings with DDM 6000k HID kit (stock top, HID bottom). I was actually pretty surprised at the difference.

Thanks for looking

They look like new!

They didn't look too bad to begin with, what grit paper did you start with?

1500 then 2000. maybe took 40 minutes to wetsand and buff both. super easy if you have the right equipment.

Could you be more specific equipment wise?

I've only buffed headlamps by hand, never wet-sanded them, but those look fantastic!

Those look great! I'm working on two sets of gen 2 housings for Joe and I hope they look as nice as those. Havent forgot about you sir! :D

4. wetsand with 2000grit sandpaper
5. using an electric buffer, buff with cutting creme
5. using an electric buffer, buff with finishing polish
