It was some darn good coffee. I paid for the "bottomless" cup, and tried all three varities they had. Sumatra, Kenyan, and the "house blend." they also had an excellent "Icelandic Almond Roll." Delicious.

On the way back, I hit "Enrique's Taco House," where I just may have found the perfect chips and salsa. He must have had 50 different bottles of gourmet hot sauces to sample as well.

it was indeed a morning well spent.

If I were you, I'd now be up to about 350 lbs!!!! I try to stay away from those places! Age really screws up your ability to metabolize food like we used to......

1lb in = 2lbs weight gain!!!

Well, I did spend the previous weekend backpacking on the north shore with some buddies. We covered about 50 miles of the Superior Hiking Trail. I think I'm still "down" about 5 lbs. Of course, down is relative, I ought to be a whole lot lower. You might be onto something here...

There is someone named Enrique in WI and they have 50 different bottles of gourmet hot sauces

I know! In Prescott, no less, which is pretty darned rural! I'd been meaning to stop in for a while now, and finally had the chance. he's between the Subway and the Dairy Queen. To say that the store stands out a bit is an understatement.

Great pics Mike! Can't wait to see it in person. :)

Hey, when are you guys leaving? We're either all leaving Thursday morning really really early, or I may leave Wed. afternoon as I was told I'll probably have to make extra stops as my wrist is most likely going to get stiff and sore.

But you can always make a first leg to our house if you want. Not like we have any room as I am guessing the Kid is going to have friends staying here on Wed. night, too.

Hey Sharon! I was thinking of leaving on Thursday afternoon/evening, and seeing how far we get. I haven't arranged lodging for Thursday night, assuming I'd either be napping at rest areas, or stopping for a Hotel/motel/Holiday inn in the middle of no-where someplace. (presumably, beyond Chicago.) Where do you plan to be Thursday night? I do like the idea of caravaning. plus, with Sarah around, we'll have access to a relief driver if you find that you need one.

By Thursday night we'd be in Carlisle. I made reservations about 11 months ago and for some reason booked us for Thursday through Monday. :) The thing is, I hate driving in PA at night after a long drive, especially if the weather's bad. Maybe give us a call this weekend or something, and we can figure something out.

My schedule may have just become a bit more flexible. my annual review, which was scheduled for 10am on thursday, was just moved to 9am on monday. works for me. Now I just have to see if our hotel can extend the reservation to thursday night as well.
