Hello everyone !!
I was just wondering, how many miles can you put on a car, ok i know everyone will have a different point of veiw, so i just want a round about figure.. the car I'm referring to is a 04 LS..
Most newer cars (last 8 to 10 years) if well taken care of should give you a minimum of 200k. That's my opinion at least, with a 12 year old daily driver with 220k on it.

I agree. I have run several Mustangs and F-150s over the 200K mark. Much of it depends on how well they have been maintained. I change oil every 3K miles, and run Mobil 1 full synthetic in every car except my BULLITT which gets AMSOIL full synthetic. I change my tranny fluid every may so that I start the hot AZ summer with fresh fluid. I run MOBIL 1 full synthetic tranny fluid in all my cars except my BULLITT which gets Royal Purple full synthetic tranny fluid. (yep the 5 speed manual in my BULLITT runs on ATF)
I also change my coolant every may.
I look at it this way... I can buy a LOT of oil and coolant for the price of an engine, and I can buy a lot of ATF for the price of a transmission.
If you keep clean fluid in things and stay on top of tune ups etc... you should be able to get a reasonably trouble free 200K from just about any car these days.
