Mustang radio glitch

A friend of mine has an 07 v-6 Mustang and the factory radio has an aux input for mp3 players and whatnot. Well, her father changed the battery the other day and for some reason, (the only i can muster is that he didnt want to loose radio settings) he changed the battery while the car was running.

Now, wether that's related or not, the aux function, as you scroll through the functions, no longer appears...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Assuming that Ford sells the "line in" as an option, I would guess that it is a separate module that connects to the back of the head unit via a multi-pin connector. I would be tempted to disconnect the battery, pop out the head, unplug, then re-plug everything, then re-connect the battery.

Failing that, try connecting the power without the module disconnected, then connect it, so the head may detect it as an "upgrade?"

I suppose there is a chance that some sort of "secret programming menu" exists on the stereo, where you can only "add" the line in if you know the right combination of buttons. Hopefully this is not the case.

I did a couple quick google searches, and didn't come up with much more than after market accessories..
